By kind permission of the Masters of the Quorn, Cottesmore, Belvoir and Meynell Hunts, members of the Melton Hunt Club who must have paid their Hunting Subscription to the Club for the current season and do not reside within any of the above hunting areas are allowed two days with each of the Hunts at 50% of the day's Cap. Members who do live in these hunting areas are allowed one day with each Hunt at 50% of the day's Cap.

All days must be booked in advance with the MHC Secretary (see the Contact page) and not the appropriate Hunt secretary to check that there is availability to hunt on your chosen day. If you are subsequently then unable to hunt, you should notify MHC Secretary as soon as possible so that your place may be given to somebody else. Anyone giving less than 48 hours notice of cancellation will be expected to pay the appropriate cap to the relevant Hunt. Places are very limited. Caps must be paid on the day to the appropriate Hunt Secretary, and to assist them please put your cash or cheque in an envelope with your name on the outside. Reduced caps for 2008-9 are:

• Quorn - Monday/Friday £70 for a two-horse day or £60 for a one-horse day; Tuesday/Saturday £35
• Cottesmore - Tuesday £75; Saturday £45; Thursday £30
• Belvoir - Saturday: High £60 and Low £35; Wednesday: High £55, other Wednesday/Thursday £40
• Meynell - all days £50
